SiGMA Africa Pitch Competition 2027 invites early-stage startups to apply for its summit in Cape Town. Over 100 startups will showcase their products in the Startup Village, with six finalists pitching live on stage in front of more than 30 venture capitalists. Winners receive comprehensive support packages including marketing, cloud infrastructure credits, networking retreats, and industry education.

Who should attend

Pre-seed and seed founders working in fintech, AI, crypto, or sector-agnostic verticals will benefit most. You should possess a functional product or a solid prototype, understand your revenue mechanics, and be prepared to present to a large crowd before the January 6, 2027 application deadline.

What happens

Participants gather in the Startup Village to demonstrate their products throughout the summit. A curated group of six finalists takes the main stage to deliver live presentations aimed at securing prize packages spanning cloud credits, marketing support, and executive retreats.

Who's in the room

More than 30 venture capitalists evaluate the presentations alongside representatives from sponsors such as AWS Activate, Nvidia, Ikigai Ventures, and DigitalOcean. Over 100 emerging company teams also attend to display their products.
