The scene right now

Tokyo has 18 upcoming startup events scheduled across the city. The schedule heavily features pitching and presentation formats, with 6 pitch nights and 4 demo days leading the lineup alongside 4 conferences and 4 summits. Founders planning to connect in person will find the entire agenda centered on local venues, as there are zero online sessions scheduled, making direct face-to-face interaction the standard for the city's current calendar.

Recurring series

The current schedule consists entirely of standalone sessions, summits, and annual showcases rather than recurring weekly or monthly series. Founders tracking key milestones will find one-off gatherings such as the Techstars Tokyo Accelerator class announcement on November 10, 2026, and the NIKKEI THE PITCH Fes Tokyo on November 12, 2026. Without recurring meetups on the calendar, teams must evaluate each gathering individually.

Who runs the events

Event hosting in the city is distributed across a broad set of organizations with one upcoming event each. Accelerator Techstars has a session on the calendar, joining other entities such as Plug and Play Japan K.K., SusHi Tech Tokyo, and TORYUMON OFFICE SHIBUYA. Additional hosts staging upcoming gatherings include Sansan, Inc. (Eight Business Division), Aoba-BBT Inc., Transpose Japan Summit 2026, and サンフロンティア不動産株式会社.

Busiest months

The schedule shows a noticeable drop early on, with only 1 event set for February 2027, followed by 2 events in March 2027 and 2 in May 2027, leaving late autumn as the primary window.
