Founder brief

Who should attend

Early-stage founders from any sector comfortable receiving blunt, humorous feedback on their ventures will appreciate this setup. It serves entrepreneurs who want to test their stage presence and pitch resilience in front of an audience rather than inside a formal boardroom.

What happens

Noah Obstfeld hosts an evening structured around four founders pitching their companies, facing commentary from three comedians and two venture capital investors. The hybrid comedy roast and pitch format culminates in one winner selected by the panel, kicking off at 18:30.

Who's in the room

Caveat gathers a panel featuring two venture capital investors and three comedians alongside four selected pitching founders. Tickets cost 15 USD for attendees looking to watch the pitches and comedy critique unfold live.

How to prepare

Keep your pitch concise and memorize your core business metrics so you remain grounded under scrutiny. Plan to lean into the humor rather than getting defensive when comedians and investors poke fun at your market assumptions or slide deck.
