Accelerator Centre

About

The Accelerator Centre operates out of Waterloo, supporting founders across multiple disciplines. Its work spans sector-agnostic initiatives alongside dedicated programming for the aerospace and defense industries. Based in a prominent regional tech hub, the organization creates structured spaces for entrepreneurs to connect, exchange expertise, and engage with the broader innovation ecosystem through focused gatherings.

What they run

Activity is based entirely in Waterloo, totaling three gatherings spanning different formats. The historical lineup includes a mixer and a conference, reflecting an even spread rather than recurring single-format series. Looking forward, the schedule features an upcoming summit titled Archives: Events - Accelerator Centre, scheduled to take place in Waterloo on November 10, 2026.

Who attends

The audience primarily consists of startup founders, technologists, and industry operators working in aerospace, defense, and broader general technology sectors. The mix of summits, conferences, and informal mixers attracts professionals looking to discuss specialized industry challenges as well as local peers seeking straightforward ecosystem networking within Waterloo.
