Startupfest

About

Startupfest is an event organizer focused broadly across sectors without limiting its scope to a single industry. Operating out of Montreal, the organization brings together various components of the startup ecosystem to engage around technology, company building, and investment through targeted gatherings.

What they run

The organization has run five events in total, with Montreal serving as its primary hub for at least three gatherings. Their history includes three conferences, one summit, and one demo day, having held four past events since 2026. On the upcoming calendar, they are preparing to host the Startupfest 2027 CapitalCalendar conference in Montreal on July 7, 2027.

Who attends

Given the sector-agnostic nature of their programming, attendees come from diverse technical and commercial backgrounds rather than a single vertical. The mix of major conferences, a summit, and a demo day draws startup founders preparing to pitch, alongside investors and ecosystem partners looking to evaluate early-stage and growing ventures.
