About

eChai Ventures is a startup community based in Ahmedabad. Operating across sectors with a sector-agnostic focus, the organization connects entrepreneurs through collaborative in-person gatherings. With roots in India, the community has built an international presence, providing platforms for founders to engage with peers, present their work, and share operational lessons across different entrepreneurial ecosystems.

What they run

The group has organized 14 events, including eight completed gatherings and six upcoming dates. Formats center on nine mixers, four demo days, and a meetup, primarily through recurring series like the eChai Startup Mixer and eChai Startup Demo. Past locations include Bengaluru, Detroit, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR, with upcoming startup mixers scheduled for Ann Arbor, Houston, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Madison.

Who attends

The attendee base consists of startup founders, operators, and early-stage teams from diverse industries. Given the emphasis on demo days and regular mixers, events attract builders looking to showcase products, gather feedback, and network across local tech hubs. The sector-agnostic format welcomes participants across varied markets rather than focusing on a single vertical or niche.
