The scene right now

Montreal currently has eight upcoming startup events scheduled across the city. Founders will find a focused mix of programming split between conferences, pitch nights, and summits. There are three conferences and three pitch nights on the roster, alongside two industry summits. Every upcoming gathering is set to take place entirely in person, with zero virtual or online options available on the immediate schedule.

Recurring series

The Montreal calendar is dominated by standalone and annual dates rather than recurring regular series. Key one-off fixtures include MIGS 2026, which runs as a summit and a conference on November 10, 2026, followed quickly by the Global Conference on Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence on November 13. Pitch opportunities follow mid-month, leading toward the Montreal 2026 VC World Summit in December and Startupfest in July 2027.

Who runs the events

Community organization Ascent Valley leads the local landscape, hosting three upcoming events focused primarily on founder networking and pitching. Media organization Venture Capital World Summit also hosts an executive summit in the city. The remaining programming is driven by individual hosts including Startupfest, the Global Conference HUB, and La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, which represent distinct industry niches ranging from gaming to major startup festivals.

Busiest months

Activity in Montreal peaks heavily in November 2026, which hosts six of the eight upcoming events and accounts for the majority of pitching and conference opportunities. Looking further ahead, the schedule drops to a single event in December 2026 with the VC World Summit. The only other planned fixture lands in July 2027 with Startupfest, making late autumn the clear primary window for founder attendance.
