Founder brief
Who should attend
Hardware entrepreneurs building physical devices, robotics, or complex electronics will benefit from direct access to the Shenzhen manufacturing ecosystem. Because entry requires an application, accepted founders should be prepared to invest in on-the-ground supplier discovery and factory partnerships.
What happens
Participants travel together across Shenzhen over six days, visiting specialized robotics and electronics production facilities, research labs, and regional component markets. The schedule includes organized visits with full translation support, coordinated ground transportation, scheduled group meals, and documented photo and video coverage.
Who's in the room
Attendance is capped at 20 hardware founders selected through a formal application process. Illuminious hosts the cohort under a licensed Future Factory program, moving founders, guides, and interpreters directly through working industrial spaces.
How to prepare
Secure your Chinese travel visa, international flights, and personal insurance well in advance once accepted. Review your bill of materials, technical component requirements, and manufacturing bottlenecks so you can ask targeted operational questions during plant walkthroughs, even though there is no formal pitch session.
