Founder brief

Who should attend

Hardware startup founders, product engineers, artists, and independent builders based in Austin will find direct value here. If you are developing physical devices, prototypes, or connected products, it offers a focused arena to put tangible work in front of peers.

What happens

Set up in a casual science-fair format starting at 18:00, participants display physical builds at demo tables. The gathering focuses entirely on hardware, giving presenters the floor to exhibit working devices, explain design decisions, and exchange technical feedback.

Who's in the room

Pershing Hall fills with local technologists, designers, and makers actively building physical things. The crowd draws engineers troubleshooting hardware constraints alongside creators sharing inventive side projects, keeping conversations focused on engineering realities rather than polished pitch decks.

How to prepare

Bring your physical prototype, necessary cables, and spare power sources so your demo table remains operational throughout the evening. Prepare a straightforward walkthrough explaining the problem your hardware solves, and be ready to answer technical queries about your components and assembly.
